Spring is coming

The temperature is increasing

But it is increasing at a very slow pace. I must admit I have a daytime job, and a lot of work to do besides this. I must maintain half a dozen sites, raise my kids take care of y wife, go out with them, and I have so much to learn in programming, I am also overwhelmed with my side project (not this one), so sometimes I wish I had less projects to work on and have only one that I can polish

I am very interested in SEO and do a lot, SEO is also the philosophy of this CMS. I will integrate advanced meta tag configuration, such as adding nofollow, noindex tags, and include the newly canonical tag to manage duplicate content. Don't have much idea yet, let's see how the other high profil e SEO will guide us. The manage module (editor) has evolved a lot, I have put some AJAX control because it was starting to load slower with all the feature, I have reworked an refactored some php, so as a result you have half the number of php script ! I could do more with object oriented programming, but I am not an expert at it, so the scripts are easy to maintain, and the CMS system is simple to understand. In the future I will add more and more AJAX control for the backend, because it increases productivity. One big feature I want to implement is the syntax coloring (Yes there is no TinyMCE there, just plain html editing, that will result in a much cleaner code.

Shame on me, I have found that my smarty template implementation pretty sucks, and I am reworking the entire template, splitting them into much smaller parts like header, body, footer, sidebar, I think future will show me I made the right choice.

What lead to this rework is I was think of adding tag navigation feature without lots of modification in the template. Smarty is a very powerful and simple (hence powerful) template engine and I was using only 0.5% of its potential. Ok that's it for tonight. I must go to sleep.
